The story behind our new name.
Founded as BullWall in Denmark in 2016, we now take that work forward as Helm. We call it a refounding, not a rebrand. It is our second founding, built on everything we have learned since, with the same team and the same commitment to the organisations we protect. What changes is our direction, transforming security into a force for progress.
It started in Denmark in 2016, with a clear ambition to keep organisations running, even when ransomware gets in. We saw that the moment that matters most is when an attack has already got past other defences, and that is where we chose to act.
So we built ransomware containment that acts the moment an attack starts to spread. Not another layer of prevention, but control at the point where prevention has already been bypassed. The method behind it is patented in Europe, and it still the core of what we do. As Helm, we stand for control under pressure. When it hits, we handle. Our customers keep running.
Today we are a European ransomware containment company working with more than 750 organisations across 20 countries, from offices in Denmark, the United Kingdom and the United States. Since early 2022 we have been backed by Axcel, the Nordic private equity firm, which gives us the room to build for the long term.

Cyber threats are evolving and offering new challenges. In the face of change Helm, formerly BullWall, represents our renewed commitment to security that doesn’t stifle progress, but powers it.
Our launch comes as AI changes the speed and scale of cyber-attacks. In July 2026, during an OpenAI security test, around 1,200 AI agents organised themselves and broke into Hugging Face, in a way no one had designed. It is no longer a matter of if an organisation is attacked, but when.
Yet most of the security category still measures success by what it keeps out. We see it differently. The people we work with want safety and control, not for their own sake, but for the growth, momentum and confidence that lie beyond them. Security should power that progress, not hold it back.
Our team, our expertise, our platform capabilities and our commitment to your security stay the same. From a product perspective, we are adding, not taking anything away.
What has grown is our mission. It is no longer only about keeping organisations running when an attack gets through. It is about giving them decisive control at the moment it matters most, so they can power forward, safely.
That is why our platform keeps expanding. Helm gives decisive control before, during and after an attack, as one platform rather than a single tool. Containment decisions run on fixed rules you can audit, and proof of what happened is ready the moment the board, a regulator or an insurer asks. Early in 2027, the platform expands further, building on everything our customers use today.
Our purpose is why we exist, to transform security into a force for progress. Our vision is where we are going, a world where organisations are safe to be bold. Our mission is what we do to get there, giving organisations decisive control at the moment it matters most, so they can power forward, safely.
Two lines carry it. Helm chooses progress, which means continuity and growth for the organisations we protect. And progress demands control, which means certainty, speed and proof when an attack hits.
